Mary S. Brown, 94

Mary S. Brown, 94, of Fulton, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Luke Residential Health Care Facility in Oswego. A native of Fleming, she had resided in the Fulton-Volney area since 1940.  Mary retired as a sales clerk at the Classic Shop after over ten years and previously worked at Woolworth’s Department Store both in Fulton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, where she had been active in church circles.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Stanley P. Brown who died in 1999 and by an infant son, Richard S. Brown, who died in 1936.

Surviving are: three daughters, Marlene O. (Thomas) Fredette of Baldwinsville, Nancy J. (Theodore) VanBuren of Ocala, FL and Sue E. (Garo) Taft of Oswego; two sisters, Ethel Mosher of Auburn and Ida Scott of Royal Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. There will be no calling hours. The family is grateful for the loving and tender care given to Mary during her stay at St. Luke’s and the family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Residential Health Care Facility, 299 East River Road, Oswego, NY, 13126.
