Mary (Tetro) Guiffrida, 96, of Fulton died March 10, 2010.

She was born in Fulton and was a life resident. Mary worked at The Woolen Mill, Sealright, Kay’s Tot Shop and at Thunder Island where she was known as “Grandma”. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Mary was a communicant of the former Holy Family Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rosario Guiffrida, who died in 1997.

Mary is survived by three children, Anna (Harold) Perau of Fulton, Samuel (Sue) Guiffrida of Sarasota, FL and Debora (James) Palmitese of Sandy Pond; sisters, Julia Holt, Josephine Puglia and Pearl Canale; brother, James Tetro; eight grandchildren, Harold (Tammie) Perau, Jr., Roxanne (Gary) Poe, Suzanne (Angelo) Pedone, Darlene Perau, Wendy (Rod) Law, Doug (Amy) Guiffrida, Lisa (Kevin) St. Hilaire, Chuck Giovo; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be Monday at 9 a.m. at Foster Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Spring burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Contributions in memory of Mary can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
