OSWEGO, NY – Mathew Lloyd Briggs, 55, a resident of 208 E. 10th St., passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 1, 2009, at his home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Alexander Briggs and Gladys (McDonald) Briggs and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
He was employed with Brenamen’s and later with Wal-Mart in Syracuse.
Mathew was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was also an avid Mets and Jets fan.
Surviving are his sister, Karen (David) Decaire of Scriba; nieces and nephews, David Decaire Jr., Diana (John) Proano, William (Avis) Decaire and Mary Decaire Ellis; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous cousins in Canada and Oswego.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
