Michael James Lewis

Michael James Lewis, 63, of McHenry, IL, passed away on September 8, 2022.

He was born to parents Warren and Wanda (Nettleingham) Lewis, on August 2h, 1959 in Sandwich, IL.

Michael graduated from Oswego High School with his high school sweetheart Christine Washburn and then later married her in Aurora on May 24, 1980.

Mike was an avid Bass Fisherman and Dallas Cowboys Fan, he even named two of his children after Dallas Cowboys players. He also loved to stay busy with pen making and playing with his dog and cats and spending time with his family. Even in his downtime Mike was never sleeping he would always say “I’m just resting my eyes” if he was ever caught.

His love of boating encouraged the move to McHenry 3 years ago to have more water to fish and boat on, but the pandemic got in the way. He did make it back out on his boat a couple weeks ago on his birthday one last time and somehow this bass fisherman caught a Muskie.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Christine Lewis; children Randall (Mica) Lewis, Daniel (Anna Nielsen) Lewis, Michael (Erika) Lewis; grandchildren Reagan Lewis, McKinley Lewis, Felix Lewis, Ryder Lewis; siblings Richard Arnett, Robert Sage, Shari (Brad) Coy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
