Nelson R. Darling, 84, of Hannibal, died Sunday at The Manor at Seneca Hill.

Born in Fulton he was a life resident of Hannibal and had wintered in Zephyrhills, FL for the past 21 years.

Nelson was broker and owner of Darling Real Estate and had previously owned and operated a dairy and fruit farm in the town of Hannibal.

He was an active member of the Hannibal Community Church where he served as Treasurer, Elder and Sunday School Teacher.

Nelson had previously served as Town Justice in Hannibal for over 20 years and had previously served as Treasurer for the Hannibal Village Cemetery.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Harry Darling.

Surviving: his wife of 63 years, Juanita Darling of Hannibal; daughter, Janet (Tom) Hall of Boyce, VA; son, Milferd (Brenda) Darling of Hannibal; two granddaughters, Kimberly (Eric) Kronenwetter and Corinne (Peter) Williamson; three great-grandchildren, Jakob Kronenwetter, Mary and Max Williamson; two sisters-in-law, Alice Donabella and Ruth Darling; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5th at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Burial will be at Hannibal Village Cemetery.
