OSWEGO, NY – Richard M. Wells, 86, a former resident of St. Luke Apartments, passed away Wednesday Aug. 6, 2008, at Loretto Heights Nursing Home.
Mr. Wells was born in Oswego, the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Horr) Wells.
He was a life resident.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the City of Oswego DPW.
He had previously worked, for 25 years, at Green’s Department Store in Oswego.
He had also worked at Leo’s Department Store in Oswego.
Mr. Wells enjoyed working in the garden and cutting grass. He loved dogs.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Wells is survived by a sister, Florence “Lill†Murray of Oswego; a brother, Edward Wells of Phoenix; and several nieces and nephews.
 He was predeceased by sisters, Myrtle Wells, Ethel Wells Meeker, Ella Wells Pelkey, and Doris Wells Sanford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
