FULTON, NY – Robert H. Northrup, 85, of March Road, Oswego, NY, died Sunday July 6, 2008, at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton, after a short illness.

He was born in Fulton and was a resident of Fulton for most of his life.

Mr. Northrup retired from Nestles, Fulton, after 40 years of employment.

He was a member of the Fulton Elks Lodge, and Fulton VFW #569.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and he was a communicant of Holy Family Church.

Mr. Northrup was an active volunteer with Holy Family Church Bingo and RCIA.

He was a United States veteran having served during World War II.

Mr. Northrup is survived by his wife of 35 years, Claudine “Babe” Northrup of Oswego; his children, Alan Northrup and Gary Northrup both of Fulton, Linda Michalski of North Carolina; his stepchildren, Michael Laws of New Hampshire and Denise Davis of Liverpool, NY; his sister, Janeace Bouvia of Carthage, NY; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Wirkes officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
