Robert J. O’Mara, 81, of Granby, passed away Thursday at his daughter’s home.
Born in Warners, he was a long time resident of the Syracuse area prior to moving to Granby. Bob retired from Pass & Seymour after 20 years. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed drafting, drawing and reading.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marceline Sova of Granby; children, Donald O’Mara of Rochester, Linda Land of CA, Cathy Colvin of Granby, Richard O’Mara of Baldwinsville and David O’Mara of Cicero; a sister, Betty Olcott of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jack O’Mara of E. Syracuse and Donald O’Mara of MA; four grandchildren.
Services will be private. There are no calling hours. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305. Arrangements are in the care of Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.
