Samuel T. Sorbello, 97

</p>Samuel T. SorbelloSamuel T. Sorbello, 97, a former resident of Fulton, died Sunday at Loretto Rehabilation Center in Oswego.

Mr. Sorbello was born in Canastota, NY, and had been a resident of Fulton for most of his life. He retired in 1975 from General Electric as a stock controller after twenty years of service. Mr. Sorbello was a member of the Italian American Club in Fulton and he served in the United States Army in the Philippines. Mr.Sorbello enjoyed playing cards and gardening, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann Sorbello on June 12, 2006, and five brothers: Philip, Frank, Angelo, Dominick, and Joseph.

Mr. Sorbello is survived by his daughters Vita (Anthony) Sada of Liverpool, and Josephine (Richard) Hammel of PA, his brother George Sorbello of MA, and sisters Katherine Bennati of Syracuse, and Mary Sgroi of Canastota. He is also survived by his grandchildren John, David, Anthony, Gregory, Mary Ann, Timothy, and Amy, and great grandchildren; Tess, Ben, Houston, Julia, Daniella, Cole, Derek, Celia, and Ella.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Robert Stephenson. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be Thursday 8:30 am to 9:50 am in Holy Family Church, 45 West 4th St. Fulton.
