FULTON – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Scott Thomas Manitta, on Thursday June 12, 2025. Born on January 11, 1959 in Fulton NY, Scott was a 1977 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School where he was a talented athlete playing on the football and basketball teams. He had a passion for music and taught himself how to play the guitar. Throughout his life, Scott found great joy in nature, riding his bicycle everywhere he went and spending many hours fishing with his brothers on the local waterways. Anyone that had the opportunity to meet Scott immediately realized what a kind and giving soul he was. His memory will always remain with us and his loss will be profoundly felt.
Scott is survived by his parents, Dominic and Gloria Manitta; siblings, Wendy (James) Holmes, Randy (Susan) Manitta, Adele (Peter) Rooney, Amelia (Mark) Blowers and Steve (Kim) Manitta; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Andy) Camay, Brett (Katie) Manitta, Justin (Ashley) Manitta, Erin Petty, Kristen Petty, Anthony Polito, Nicholas (Rachel) Rooney, Joseph Rooney, Colin Manitta and Theodore Manitta; great nieces and nephews, Barrett and Lily Manitta, Avery and Harper Camay and Peter and Christopher Rooney.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shepherd Home 1959 Five Mile Line Rd. Penfield, NY 14526
