Suzanne King, 71, a resident of Route 104 West, Oswego, passed away at home on Thursday, April 8, 2010, after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer.  She was born in Oswego, and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Leona (Cullivan) Ackerley.

She was the wife of the late Donald King.

Sue was a graduate of Oswego High School and a long time member of the Church of the Resurrection.  She retired from SUNY Oswego (Housing Department) in May 2002.

She loved spending time with her family and traveling around the country, and especially enjoyed cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean.

Sue also enjoyed spending time with her siblings, often taking trips to the casinos.

She liked writing and wrote many poems for her family and special stories for her grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading and going to the library.  She was always on the go, meeting friends for lunch and dinner.
