Vincent L. Lavere, 91, 08/21/2009

OSWEGO, NY – Vincent L. Lavere, 91, of 145 E. Eighth St., Oswego, died Friday evening Aug. 21, 2009, at Seneca Hill Manor.

He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Louis L. and Mary MacPhee Lavere.

Mr. Lavere had been employed for his entire professional career at The Palladium Times and was a typesetter when he retired.

He was a life resident of Oswego and a graduate of St. Paul’s Academy and Oswego high School.

He had served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church.

Mr. Lavere is survived by one sister, Geneva L. Kempston of Fulton; one sister-in-law, Patricia Lavere of Niagara Falls, NY; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Lavere was predeceased by two brothers, Rev. Phillip Lavere, OFM, formerly of Boston, and Walter Lavere, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY; his brother-in-law, Robert Kempston, formerly of Fulton; and two nephews.

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
