4-H Program Says Thanks For The Support

Dear Editor:

The Oswego County 4-H Program would like to thank the community for all of its support with the recent annual fabric sale, a fundraiser for the local 4-H Program, held at Believer’s Chapel in Mexico.

We received an enormous stockpile of donated goods, from fabric to accessories for sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and more, and nearly everything sold!

I would also like to extend enormous wealth of appreciation to the crew of volunteers who spent countless hours sorting, measuring, and arranging the sale floor.

The fabric sale is a fundraiser to benefit the 4-H Program which is part of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County.

The Oswego County 4-H Program is open to all children ages 5 to 19 who are interested in having fun and learning new skills while exploring the world around them.

Youth who participate in 4-H find a supportive environment and many opportunities for hands-on learning about their interests.

They also get what all young people need to succeed in life: confidence, compassion, and connections with caring adults, as well as lots of opportunities to make contributions to their community.

The mission of Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Youth Development Program is to unleash the power of youth and adults through diverse opportunities that meet community needs.

The 4-H programs are offered in a wide variety of formats and places, because they’re designed to fit the interests and needs of the diverse young people who live in the Oswego County’s rural and urban communities.

Once again, I would like to thank the public for their donation of material items and for shopping at the sale.

To receive information on the 4-H Program or to make a monetary donation, contact Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County at 315-963-7286.

Sincerely,

Mary Matteson
