Last week, the New Yorker revealed that five State Department bureaus, agencies, or missions “argued that Israel had likely used U.S. weapons in violations of the laws of war and had impeded the delivery of U.S. humanitarian aid.”
Yet, the Biden Administration ignored the State Department’s evidence that Israel used U.S. weapons to commit war crimes.
The Israeli news outlet Haaretz reported, “The Biden administration suspected that Israel was committing war crimes in Gaza as early as November 2023, just one month into the war.” Despite the fact they knew war crimes were being committed, the Biden Administration gave Israel “more than twenty billion dollars’ worth of weapons.”
While Biden provided Israel with daily weapon shipments, the United Nations (UN) Commission of Inquiry recorded, “Israel had committed genocide in Gaza from 7 October 2023 until at least 31 July 2025.”
Two months after the US-brokered Gaza ceasefire in October 2025, Amnesty International warned, “the world must not be fooled.” Haaretz reported, “The entire people of Gaza have not lived a single day or a single moment of cease-fire. This cease-fire is an illusion.” Amnesty International wrote, “Israeli authorities are still committing genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip.”
The UN Commission of Inquiry reached the same conclusion. The UN Commission of Inquiry also documented that “Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children.”
Recent reports by humanitarian organizations provide evidence that Israeli authorities and security forces are still deliberately targeting Palestinian children.
In Gaza, Haaretz wrote, “the Israel Air Force continues to kill children in the Gaza Strip. Since the cease-fire went into effect there last October, 282 children and teens under the age of 18 have been killed.” In Gaza, Save the Children said there is, “an average of one child dying each day.”
In Gaza, Save the Children documented, “More than 74,000 children under five in Gaza will suffer acute malnutrition in the year to April 2027.”
In the West Bank, children also pay the highest price. Save the Children wrote, “More than 1,000 Palestinian children have been displaced by a surge in settler violence in the West Bank in the first six months of 2026.”
Since the beginning of 2026, Palestinian communities in the West Bank experienced more than 1,330 settler attacks. That’s more than six settler attacks a day. Haaretz reported that the daily settler attacks against Palestinians include “physical expulsions, theft of livestock, crops, land and water, destroying vehicles, besieging homes, burning buildings, mosques and lands.”
Last Saturday, Haaretz documented, “dozens of masked [Israeli] settlers were filmed descending towards the nearby village of Sarra.” In the village of Sarra, “the settlers assaulted residents, set fire to and vandalized six homes and three vehicles.” The settler attacks are “aimed at making life unlivable for Palestinians [and] removing them from their homes.”
Washington provides the military aid that allows the ethnic cleansing in the West Bank to proceed. Taxpayers finance the weapon shipments that continue the genocide in Gaza.
