To the Editor:
New York Farm Bureau is supportive of Sen. Darrel Aubertine and his efforts to help farm families through the worst milk pricing downturn in decades (“County farmers’ concerns mount over the dairy crisis†10/14/09).
And it’s not just dairy that is struggling. Other commodities are suffering too from the effects of the global fiscal crisis.
The Senator’s leadership on the issue in Albany, guided by input from the series of roundtable discussions he is hosting around the state this fall, will be a critical component to the solution to this crisis.
We look forward to the Senator’s continued efforts, as we all work together to help ensure that New York’s dairy farm families thrive once again.
