FCSD Needs A Haircut!

The males of the district all know the saying “Take a little off the top” and the females know the saying “Just a trim please”.

Well with the current FCSD budget up for a vote next month and the recent presentations at recent school board meetings revealing a reduction in the workforce.

In the reductions they show only ONE administration position being removed!

However multiple rank and file positions being removed, either through retirement, resignations, or layoffs.

Salaries are listed as a top expenditure in the Budget, which it is in all budgets.

Now we must look at the costs of services and who is the first line of suppling those services.

Administration is the least of the suppliers of services in the district. However, they are the highest paid.

Rank and File are the lowest paid to supply services and not only in the district but in the county.

So to protect their positions the Administration will justify releasing and not replacing the rank and file and not lowering the number of positions within the Administration.

It is time to give the FCSD a haircut! First take a little off the top! Just a trim please!

If that doesn’t work it may be time for a “Military” style haircut!

Vote NO on the budget next month!

Now they are trying to use Fearmongering to stop the voters from voting NO on the budget and having it fail.

Saying things like “Contingency Budget” having to cut “Sports programs”, etc.

Know this that a “Contingency Budget” only comes into play when the board fails to bring a Budget back for a second vote.

They may decide to say NO to doing that.

Now when the vote is NO on the first Budget they must be forced to go back and rework the budget taking out Administration or take all raises to Administration out of the budget.

Only then bring it back and vote YES on the second Budget.

If they don’t at least take them out, go to meetings and voice your vote of “NO CONFIDENCE”  in the Board and ask for all of their resignations.

They are also going to use the cost of a second Budget vote to deter you from voting NO on the Budget.

Saying it will cost $20,000 for a second vote and how such a big burden that would be on the taxpayers.

At the meeting I said “You didn’t blink and eye when you made a decision to evicted Citi, out of 4th street, losing $93,000 in revenue.”

They also didn’t blink an eye with the costs to remodel 4th Street school back into offices.

The cost to return the classrooms at the JHS from offices. It may have been covered by State money, well that was our money.

Vote NO on the Budget!
