Feeble liberals

Dear Editor,
To all you namby-pamby liberals out there who are too afraid to speak the truth because it might be too hard on some folks (and then you’d need a federal program to bail them out of their hardship) . . .
To you I say, read history. People survive and prosper because they hear the truth, not because they are shielded from it. Jesus called kindly church-going Jews “vipers” and “whited sepulchers” because that’s who they were. Why can’t you be like him?
A perfect example is Ketanji Brown Jackson’s interview on PBS recently. (9-2-24) The Supreme Court Justice served up all kinds of softball answers to questions about “what’s up” with the Court. She said, “We deal with complicated issues.” “The court generally follows precedents.” Wow, that really advanced my understanding of the Constitutional crisis, Madam Justice.
She of the very serious job role smiled her way through the interview and offered, “I am an optimist.” She peppered her interview with “Oh, my goodness,” as if a modest schoolgirl competing in a beauty pageant.
On term limits for judges she said, “That issue has been debated for a long time, since Alexander Hamilton,” without offering any insight on its possible importance to the republic today.
“Right now, I just want to do the best that I can to serve the American people.” Wow, breathtaking, girl. I’d award you the homecoming crown right now, sweetheart.
If Donald Trump wins this election, it will be because you liberal Democrats and moderate Republicans are too d—n misguided and cowardly to speak up. It’s on you, little people.
