Prior to Covid-19 there were plans to put in motion the closing of the Fulton DMV. A former DMV clerk had told me that the employees had been given notice as to when the office was going to close.
With the outbreak of Covid-19 those plans were more than likely put on hold. I am telling you this now because of the County Clerk election and write in candidate Mr. Wilbur.
If you want to save the Fulton DMV office do not write in Mr. Wilbur.
There is a very good chance that Mr. Wilbur will follow through with the plans put in place by Mr. Backus.
How else can he justify having such a large DMV in Oswego with empty teller windows. He will have to transfer everyone from the Fulton office to Oswego.
They may say NO now but there is no way to hold them accountable without a special election.
Force a special election and force the candidates to answer questions about the Fulton DMV and making sure it stays open.
If you don’t want to travel to Oswego to do your DMV business vote for Mike Backus and force a special election next year.
Keep Fulton DMV open! Don’t leave the County Clerk vote empty. Don’t write in Terry Wilbur’s name force a special election. Vote for Mike Backus!
