Freedom for All Americans

FREEDOM FOR ALL AMERICANS

Americans endorse freedom for all. That freedom includes the right for all people to embrace our individual identities, which best express who we are. Brandon Williams, representative for NY-22, doesn’t believe in that right. His participation in a hate-filled extremist event at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC proved it. The purpose of the event was to bring together GOP lawmakers and far-right extremist pastors to brainstorm measures against LGBTQ freedoms, abortion, and those who don’t subscribe to their rigid ideology. This is not unexpected from fear-driven, conservative Republicans. Religious zealots sincerely believe their fundamental interpretation of the Bible is absolute truth, narrow-mindedly repudiating all others. Their image of Jesus as a “white” man is a physical impossibility for a Middle Easterner. They willfully support damnation of people rather than acceptance. This is emphatically in stark contradiction to the teachings of the Christ.

Conservative Americans have the freedom to believe whatever they choose. They don’t have the right to force their personal beliefs on others while using draconian ideas to dictate policy and legislation. Their uninvited meddling into people’s private life decisions made for the well-being of women, children, and those in the LGBTQ community, has to be exposed for what it truly is, partisan politics interfering with human and civil rights.

Politics and religion do not mingle. That is not how a bipartisan democratic government functions. MAGA Republicans have completely ruptured the Party, making them incapable of doing their job to serve the American people.

Republicans continue to create chaos by intentionally obstructing bills designed to benefit all Americans. They refuse to compromise on critical issues facing our nation and the world. Keep this in mind when voting in November!
