Letter: Bateman Should Look For Corruption In-House

To the Editor:

Oswego is in the news again. No, I’m not referring to John Gosek’s friend, Anthony Pauldine, being arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with a person younger than 17 years old. It is the story about two Oswego fireman facing charges of forgery and falsifying records.

If Mayor Bateman is concerned about employees falsifying official records one would think he would look at his top appointments. Or, could it be that he has a policy exempting employees who make over $90,000 a year from criminal prosecution?

Sincerely,
