My name is David Sterio, and I am running for Highway Superintendent in the Town of Oswego on the Republican and Independence lines. A lifelong resident of Oswego, I currently reside at 139 Valley View Drive in the Town of Oswego with my wife, Jill.
I am the son of Nick and Adele Sterio, of Oswego, a graduate of Oswego High School, and attended Ithaca College, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
I have worked for several small businesses in the area, as well as the Oswego City School District.
For the past 20 years, I have worked in the construction industry, and most recently as a field superintendent (16 years) at a Syracuse-based electric company – Knapp Electric, delivering multi-million dollar projects to cities, towns and school districts, on time and under budget.
I am a 20-year member of IBEW Local #43 and AFM, Local #267-441, for 35 years.
I greatly appreciate the numerous endorsements I have received as a candidate for the Oswego Town Highway Superintendent position including: Oswego County Labor Council; Central New York Building and Construction Trades; IBEW Local #43; Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #73; Laborers Local #633; IBEW Local #1249; and Republican and Independence parties.
I believe I possess the right qualifications and skill set to perform the role and duties of the position, and feel my professional management, organization, attention to detail, and clear communication skills parallel the position responsibilities.
I recognize this role as a full-time commitment, full-time effort, and full-time position that I will take very seriously.
It’s been a pleasure meeting the residents over the past couple of months and getting all of their feedback and suggestions, and looking forward to their support on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
