In 2003, Condoleezza Rice told Wolf Blitzer “there will always be some uncertainty about how quickly [Saddam Hussein] can acquire nuclear weapons. But we don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.”
Reuters reported, “More than one million Iraqis have died as a result of,” our invasion of Iraq. Washington systematically lied about Hussein’s WMD and the urgent necessity for regime change. Despite the warning by attorney general, Peter Goldsmith, that “the desire for regime change was not a legal base for military action.” Yet regime change was a reason for Trump’s war of aggression against Iran.
Another reason for Trump’s war of aggression was that Iran “attempted to rebuild their nuclear program.” If you believe that, then you must believe the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are liars.
In March 2025, Gabbard testified in Congress that US intelligence “continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon.” The International Atomic Energy Agency repeated that conclusion. On February 26th, Rubio said that Iran was “not enriching [uranium] right now [even if it wanted to].”
Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi must also be a liar. Al-Busaidi described the indirect negotiations in Switzerland between Washington and Tehran on February 26th as a “breakthrough that has never been achieved any time before.” Washington and Tehran agreed, “Iran will never ever have nuclear material that will create a bomb.”
Israeli news outlet Haaretz reported, “[Al-Busaidi] suggested a deal could be reached between Washington and Tehran by Saturday.” Instead, the Trump administration launched a war of aggression against Iran. Trump couldn’t wait two days, despite his claim, “we sought repeatedly to make a deal.” Haaretz wrote, “Official U.S. policy on Iran to date has been nothing short of schizophrenic.”
The Financial Times reported on Sunday that, “the US and Israel had been coordinating a weeks-long deception operation meant to trick the Iranian regime into believing,” diplomacy could work. This was an exact repeat of negotiations in 2025. Twice, in nine months, we threatened Iran to negotiate or face obliteration, then we bombed them in the middle of negotiations.
Trump said, “bombs will be dropping everywhere,” in Iran because it’s a “radical dictatorship,” that kills its own civilians. Israeli journalist Gideon Levy asked in Haaretz: “Is the way the Iranian government treats its citizens any worse than the way Israel treats the Palestinians?”
Haaretz reported on February 26th, “Israel has carried out ethnic cleansing and apartheid crimes in the West Bank, as well as deliberate starvation and crimes that could amount to genocide in Gaza.”
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert wrote, “Gangs of armed [Israeli] settlers persecute, harm, wound and even kill Palestinians living [in the West Bank].”
Will we overthrow the dictatorships in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE? No! We support those dictatorships.
For a majority of Americans healthcare is unaffordable. Yet taxpayers steal from themselves and give money to huge corporations with each airstrike on Iran.
