Thanks For A Great Fundraiser

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

On behalf of the Oswego County Historical Society I want to thank all of the generous groups, businesses, and individuals who donated such wonderful services to our annual “Good Ole Summer Time – Victorian Picnic”! The picnic was held on the lawn at the Richardson-Bates House Museum on a perfectly beautiful Sunday afternoon and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!

The unique “Lunch-In-A-Basket” auction went very well. Fourteen lunches, which were made for four people each, were sold and nearly $1,000 was raised to help the Historical Society. The event planning committee and I want to share special thanks to the following who donated the beautifully decorated and delicious lunches: Cakes Galore & More; Canale’s Ristorante; Oswego County Promotion & Tourism Dept. staff; Oswego Health Services; Kristi’s; The Manor at Seneca Hill; Man in the Moon Candies; Mom & Pop’s Eatery; Steve Phillips; Port City Café; Port City Diner; Raging River BBQ; The American Foundry; Time & Again Books & Tea; and we as the Board of Trustees.

We certainly want to give a great deal of thanks to professional auctioneer Ted Sivers who volunteered to do a wonderful job running the auction! More thanks go out to Stewarts Shops for donating delicious ice cream and sundae fixings to share with everyone who attended!
A huge thanks goes to Russ Cowles who set up and tore down all of the tables and chairs and did anything else that was needed – he did such a great job! Thank you wonderful planning committee members too! Finally, the committee, board of trustees members, and I want thank all of you who attended the event for your continued support and hope you had a wonderful time!
Sincerely,

Lyn Patterson
