Thanks for the Support

To The Editor:
I extend my sincerest appreciation to the Ladies League at Cold Springs Golf Course for hosting their fourth Annual Rally For The Cure Golf Tournament Against Breast Cancer. Thanks to their effort the event raised $2,764 that was donated to OCO’s Cancer Services Program Partnership.

The funds raised will be used to provide reimbursement to partnering provider offices for clinical cancer screening services performed for uninsured Oswego County residents.

I applaud their efforts and thank those who participated and the many area businesses whose generosity as sponsors made the event possible, including: Vella’s Hardware, White’s Tractor Supply, Eagle Beverage, Taco Bob’s, Hallet’s Florist, O.D. Green Lumber, Doldo Brothers, Nana Rose, and Phyliss Schenck for providing prizes.

A special thank you to Al’s Corner Market for providing the food as well as the bands Beneath the Surface and Midlife Crisis for providing the music and entertainment. In addition, a special thank you to the many other area businesses that contributed as hole sponsors.

Their generosity helps make it possible for the Cancer Services Program to continue offering free cancer screening services such as: mammograms, clinical breast exams, and pap/pelvic exams for uninsured residents of Oswego County aged 40-64.  Additionally we offer colorectal cancer screenings for men and women.  These screenings are available year round, free of charge, and play an important part in maintaining good health.

Thank you to everyone involved with the fourth Annual Rally For The Cure Golf Tournament Against Breast Cancer at Cold Springs Golf Course.

Your support is greatly appreciated!

Together, we can a make a difference in the lives of our community.

Sincerely,
Carolyn Handville
