Thanks from the Oswego Public Library

Thanksgiving is the time of the year the Oswego Public Library reflects on the generosity of those in our community who have helped us provide services to our patrons.

This year, the Children’s Room is thankful for receiving a substantial grant from the Oswego County Youth Bureau to help with the costs of the Summer Reading Program.

Several new programs were introduced.

The children benefited from building a science journal, saltwater Batik, painting class, Toddler Tango and exercise and nutrition programs.

Fifty children were able to make Bluebird houses and participate in a Bluebird program learning many new facts.

With this grant, the Children’s Room was able to increase the free programming for more than 200 children.

With the support of the community, the Oswego Public Library’s Summer Reading program will continue to grow and serve the needs of the public. missing or outdated ad config
