Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Heroin Arrests


OSWEGO, NY – On January 30, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force arrested Michael T. Bort, 45, of 63 N. Third St. Apartment #3, Fulton, based on an arrest warrant issued by Oswego County Court.

The arrest warrant was issued as a result of Bort being indicted on the following charges by an Oswego County Grand Jury:

3 counts – Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree- Class B Felony

3 counts – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Intent to sell – Class B Felony

It is alleged that Bort, pursuant to an Oswego County Drug Task Force investigation, did sell heroin on three separate occasions within the city of Fulton.

In a separate investigation, Bort was arrested by the Oswego County Drug Task Force on January 23 for possession 49 bags of heroin.

Bort was processed and arraigned in Oswego County Court where he was placed on pretrial release.

He is scheduled to return to Oswego County Court on April 6.

On Monday (February 2), investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force arrested Shaun M. Salsbery, 35, of 58 N. Fourth St., Fulton, based on an arrest warrant issued by Oswego County Court.

The arrest warrant was issued as a result of Salsbery being indicted on the following charges by an Oswego County Grand Jury:

3 counts – Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree- Class B Felony

3 counts – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Intent to sell – Class B Felony

It is alleged that Salsbery, pursuant to an Oswego County Drug Task Force investigation, did sell heroin on three separate occasions within the city of Fulton.

Salsbery was arraigned in Oswego County Court and remain the custody of the NYS Department of Corrections on an unrelated charge.

He is due back in Oswego County Court on April 7.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
