OSWEGO – Oswego Health’s Center for Orthopedic Care and Murdock’s Bicycle and Sports have collaborated to provide five bikes that will be given away as part of the Oswego City School District’s Bike Rodeo on June 28 at Wilber Field/Leighton track.
The rodeo will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. with free helmet fitting and other related activities.
A bike will be given away to a student from each of the district’s five elementary schools.
Students can sign up to win a bike at the school they attend.
“We are excited to partner with Murdock’s, a local business and with this collaboration encourage kids to stay active this summer,” said Chris Mitchell, Oswego Health Physician Care P.C. Executive Director.
Greg Mills, owner of Murdock’s Bicycle and Sports, added, “We are excited to participate in this great event and help provide bicycles to students in the Oswego City School District. Our mission is to promote cycling as a component of a healthy lifestyle and what better place to start then with our youth.”
