OSWEGO, NY – New in 2015, Oswego Kartway will be adding a total of 10 Tuesday night ‘Test and Tune’ sessions to its schedule of events.
The Tuesday night ‘Test and Tune’ sessions will be open to all weekly Oswego Kartway divisions, and will run from 6-8 p.m. beginning on May 5.
There will be no limit to the overall number of participants at each ‘Test and Tune,’ but on track activity will be limited to only three karts at a time.
Test sessions can be limited to 10 laps per run, depending on the total number of participants, and sessions will be split into junior and senior groups.
Pit gates will open for Tuesday night testing at 5 p.m.
Testing fees for drivers will be $20, which includes a pit pass.
All others wishing to enter the pit area must purchase a $10 pit pass.
Novice training sessions will also be available for youth drivers during Tuesday ‘Test and Tunes.’
Those wishing to participate in a novice training session must make an appointment by calling Oswego Speedway’s main office at (315) 342-0646 a full day in advance of Tuesday testing, so the session can be scheduled into the night’s program.
Novice training sessions will include a course on official’s flags and signals, line-up procedures, proper racing line, etc.
Former Kartway track champion and promoter Dan Kapuscinski along with Kartway race director Jim Losurdo will handle novice training sessions, along with select guest driver appearances from veterans such as DJ Shuman, Chris Natoli, Anthony Losurdo and others.
The Kartway’s ‘Test and Tune’ sessions will take place on the following Tuesday evenings, weather permitting: May 5, 19, June 2, 16, 30, July 14, 28, August 11, September 8 and 22.
