Oswego Kartway’s Triple Crown Continues Friday Night with the ‘Battle at the Bullring’


OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Kartway’s Triple Crown will continue Friday night with the running of the annual ‘Battle at the Bullring’ presented by RJ Kart Sales and Service.

The Kartway’s Triple Crown is comprised of the ‘King of the Kartway’, which took place on July 10, tomorrow’s ‘Battle at the Bullring’, and the Oswego Kartway Classic which will take place during the Speedway’s Budweiser Classic Week on September 3.

Any driver that can win all three events in the same season will be honored during the Kartway’s yearend championship banquet as a Triple Crown champion.

Matt Fay, Shannon Pitcher, Jamie Shutts, Kyle Perry, DJ Shuman, Carl Emmons III, Jason Parkhurst, Tanner Emmons, Tyler Thompson, Tavien Blowers, Paul Fountaine, Nick Demling, and Rich Jordal all won King of the Kartway events and will look to continue their Triple Crown aspirations tomorrow night.

Friday will also be the third and final round of the Kartway’s Summer Shootout Series, which will see the top three in the series points honored as well at yearend.

Time trials will set the field on Friday immediately following hot laps, which will begin at 6:45 p.m.  A designated number of karts will move directly to the ‘Battle at the Bullring’ A-Mains on Friday with the rest having to qualify through B-Main qualifiers.

Feature events on Friday will be an extra five laps across the board.

Member driver entry is set at $20 this week with non-member entry set at $23, each including a pit pass.  Separate pit passes will be sold for $15 with $5 carload spectator admission.

Time trial plaques and trophies will be on the line this week from JB Sign Co.

Pit gates will open on Friday at 4:30 p.m. with a mandatory drivers meeting set for 6 p.m.
