Oswego Speedway and Kartway Preparing for Annual Motorsports Expo at NYS Fairgrounds

OSWEGO, NY – The un-official start to the 2015 Oswego Speedway racing season is set for March 14-15 with the annual Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

Oswego Speedway will once again feature a multi-car display at the Expo, along with two Supermodified simulators for fans to take a set of laps at the famed ‘Steel Palace.’

Oswego Speedway will once again provide an interactive display for race fans at this year’s Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

Two Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers are expected to be at this year’s Expo, including the Crow Motorsports 2014 championship ride of Andrew Schartner.

Schartner dominated the 2014 Small Block Super campaign at Oswego, on his way to his first career track championship. A long-time supporter of the Expo, car owner Tom Aeserud plans to have the No. 18 shined up and ready to represent an Oswego Speedway track championship.

The second Small Block Super in attendance will once again be the Kreig Heroth Motorsports No. 04 Hedger Fabrication Chassis, driven by 2012 Speedway track champion Kreig Heroth.

Heroth took second in the driver’s championship last year, falling just short of his second career track title at Oswego. The well prepared and maintained No. 04 machine will join Schartner’s ride as racing machines on display for the ‘Steel Palace.’

Oswego Kartway will also once again be a part of Oswego’s overall booth with schedules and membership forms available and a couple scheduled karts on display for viewing.

Back by popular demand at this year’s Expo will be the Oswego Speedway Supermodified simulators provided by John Byrnes, Bob Garafolo, and LaGraf’s Pub in Oswego.

Fans can also try the simulation online at www.suprs.net

The race software can be downloaded for a donation of $25, which goes to the Dion Parish Memorial injured driver’s fund.

Rides at this year’s Expo will once again be $5 a piece with 13-laps of racing being given at Oswego Speedway behind the wheel of an ISMA winged Supermodified.

Money raised will once again go toward the Kids on Track giveaway fund in 2015.

The top five fastest times on the simulators will be tracked throughout the weekend, with Speedway race tickets being awarded to those who set the top three fastest times.

One of the more popular things to do at the Motorsports Expo each season is to collect one of the many racing schedules available for the coming year, and once again Mitchell’s Speedway Press has developed Oswego’s schedule flyer for 2015.  Be sure to stop by the Speedway booth to pick one up as well as browse the many options of Speedway merchandise that will be available.

Thomas Racing Videos will also be on hand with Speedway DVDs ready for purchase.
