Oswego State Volleyball Season Comes To An End

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team (12-19) saw its season come to an end on Friday afternoon after it fell to New Paltz (32-7) in the first round of the State University of New York Athletic Conference playoffs.

The Lakers struggled offensively as they committed 22 errors while recording 13 kills.

Conversely, the Hawks were efficient on the other side of the net after tallying 36 kills to go along with just ten errors.

Stephanie Bailey (So., Scotia, N.Y.) led Oswego State with five kills followed by four kills from Kelsey Dillon (Fr., Deer Park, N.Y.), who also contributed two block assists. Kelsey Ihle (Sr., Clarence Center, N.Y.) paced the defense with nine digs, while Kara Michelsen (So., Lake View, N.Y.) had five assists.

New Paltz’s Dana Vosilla recorded 11 kills. Marissa King finished with a double-double after compiling 31 assists and 10 digs. Carrie Hack registered a team-high 13 digs.
