Oswego State’s Trovato Honored

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Oswego State freshman Tori Trovato (Fulton, N.Y.) has been named the SUNY Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for the week ending April 7, 2013.

Trovato hit .625 from the plate with a .647 on-base percentage and a 1.062 slugging percentage over the weekend.

After going hitless in the first game against Buffalo State, Trovato went 4-for-4 in the nightcap with three runs scored, four RBI and two homeruns. On Saturday against Fredonia, she had a pair of three-hit games scoring six runs and driving in four runs. Trovato currently leads the team in batting average (.444), slugging percentage (.722) and on-base percentage (.483).

Oswego State (6-10, 3-3 SUNYAC) hits the road this week with doubleheaders at Utica (Wednesday), Plattsburgh (Friday) and Potsdam (Saturday).
