OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego City Police Department has arrested three individuals on felony drug charges.
42-year-old Peter J. Schroeder Sr., and 18-year-old Peter J. Schroeder Jr., both of 128 E.Fourth St., Oswego, and 20-year-old Robert L. Schroeder Jr., of 90 Niagara St., Oswego, have each been charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B Felony).
Additionally, both Peter Schroeder Sr. and Robert Schroeder Jr. have been charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Fifth Degree (A Misdemeanor).
Peter Schroeder Jr. is the son of Peter Schroeder Sr., and Robert Schroeder Jr. is the nephew of Peter Schroeder Sr.
The arrest comes as a direct result of an ongoing Anti-Crime Team investigation, which ultimately led to the issuance of two search warrants, one for a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee belonging to Peter Schroeder Sr., and another for the Schroeder residence located at 128 East Fourth Street, lower rear apartment.
As part of a coordinated investigation with the assistance of the Oswego City Police Department Patrol Division, a traffic stop was conducted on the ’97 Grand Cherokee in the area of State Route 481 and Churchill Road in the City of Oswego.
All three suspects were in the vehicle, and upon searching the vehicle pursuant to the search warrant, police located 29.3 grams of crack cocaine, as well as approximately 43 grams of marijuana.
Immediately subsequent to the traffic stop, police executed the second search warrant and seized from within the residence a small quantity of crack cocaine, and more than $1,000 in cash.
All three suspects were arrested on March 1, at 8:40 p.m., and were arraigned in Oswego City Court and subsequently remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond.
All three are scheduled to appear in Oswego City Court on March 6, at 9:30 a.m.
