OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Health Department and the Art Scene at CNY Arts Center partner to host a Mental Health Art Show as part of National Public Health Week. The event runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 10 at the CNY Arts Center, 121 Cayuga St., Fulton.
This year’s theme, “A Quiet Moment: A Break from the Chaos,” invites artists to reflect on what brings them peace amid life’s challenges. The show encourages individuals to express their personal experiences with mental health and resilience through art, helping spark meaningful conversations across generations.
It is open to all students and residents of Oswego County aged 12 and older, and entries are now being accepted.
Interested community members can go to the Oswego County Health Department’s website at https://health.oswegocountyny.gov/mental_health_art_show.php to view artwork guidelines, registration details and submit a photo of their artwork. The Oswego County Health Department reserves the right to not display artwork that is not appropriate for all ages.
All artwork must follow guidelines and be submitted online for review and approval to the health department by Friday, March 27.
Once participants are notified their artwork is approved for the show, they must bring the actual pieces to the health department, located at 70 Bunner St. in Oswego, so they can be displayed. The deadline to drop off artwork is Tuesday, April 7.
