OSWEGO, NY – When members of the SUNY Oswego social fraternity, Beta Tau Epsilon gather in June as part of the college’s annual reunion, they will remember several of their brothers with a donation to Oswego Health’s Lakeside Heart Center.
The fraternity decided to designate a donation to the center after being impressed with the facility during a visit this spring.

The fraternity brothers wanted a way to support the community where they attended college and specifically a cardiac rehabilitation program, as a tribute to several members who have died due to heart ailments.
“With our donation, the fraternity would like to assist individuals that need help to improve their health,” said member Bill Bradley. “The fraternity’s membership is concerned not only with our own health, but that of others and this is a way for us to make a difference.”
Oswego Health’s Lakeside Heart Center is located in the Kingsford Professional Building, 177 W. Fourth St., Oswego, and provides cardiac rehabilitation to community members that have recently experienced a cardiac event.
The program has two primary goals.
The first is to help people physically and emotionally recover from their cardiac event.
The second goal is to help prevent future heart problems.
These two goals are met through individual education sessions, as well as structured exercise classes, supervised by specially-trained nurses.
