Lee Memorial Provides Free Blood Pressure Clinic Oct. 16 At Volney Church

A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital Patient-Community Educator Rebecca Bettinger, R.N., will provide a free blood pressure screening clinic from 4 to 6 pm Thursday, Oct. 16, at the North Volney United Methodist Church, located on the corner of Co. Rtes. 4 and 6 in the Town of Volney. This event coincides with the church’s monthly scalloped potatoes and ham dinner.

Mrs. Bettinger will have a wide range of health information, including: diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Those who do not have health insurance may obtain information on how to get help enrolling in such programs as Child Health Plus A and B, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid. There will also be information about how to set up a health care proxy.
