Magnetic Diagnostic Resources (MDR) of CNY, LLP, the largest provider of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services in Central New York, has opened a new office at A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital. Located at 510 S. Fourth Street, Fulton, N.Y., the new facility now provides MRI services five days a week and features a GE High-Field Short Bore Scanner, which helps provide fast, accurate diagnoses by capturing the highest-quality images.
As a result of the opening, the MDR office at 98 N. Second Street, Fulton, N.Y., is scheduled to close on Oct. 3. The former location was only open four days a week.
“MDR takes pride in delivering accurate diagnoses in a patient-friendly manner,” said Michael J. Letizia, general manager of MDR. “We are excited to open a brand-new office in Fulton that will help us continue to serve our local community.”

A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to create images of organs and other structures inside the body. In many cases, an MRI gives information that cannot be seen on an X-ray, ultrasound, or CT scan. An MRI scan typically takes up to 10 minutes while a complete exam runs from 20 to 60 minutes. Results are usually available the next business day.
