July 9: Local Historian to Share Fascinating History of Oswego County’s Muck Farms at Free Community Presentation

On Thursday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m., Volney Town Historian Bob Coant will present “The History of the Mucks in Oswego County,” sharing stories, memories, and historical insights about the region’s muck farms and the people whose lives and livelihoods were connected to them.
This free community event offers attendees an opportunity to learn about the rich farming history that helped shape Oswego County. Through photographs, personal recollections, and historical perspective, Coant will relive memories of the muck farms that were once a vital part of the area’s agricultural landscape.
