OSWEGO – As Oswego Health continues to strengthen and grow, it is pleased to announce the promotion of Nikki Kushner to Vice President of Physician Services. Kushner previously served as Executive Director of Oswego Health Medical Practice after joining the organization in 2025, and has quickly made a significant impact through her leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to advancing physician services across the organization.
In her new role, Kushner will provide strategic leadership and oversight for physician services across Oswego Health, helping to strengthen operational integration, physician engagement, practice growth, and patient access initiatives. She will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, executive leadership, and operational teams to support a highly aligned and efficient physician enterprise focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care throughout the region.
Kushner’s responsibilities will include overseeing physician operations, supporting recruitment and retention strategies, advancing operational and clinical integration efforts, and leading initiatives focused on improving access, quality outcomes, and patient experience. She will also help guide long-term strategic growth initiatives, including service line development, physician alignment, and expansion opportunities across Central New York.
Since joining Oswego Health Medical Practice as Executive Director, Kushner has played an instrumental role in supporting physician operations, strengthening collaboration across practices and departments, and helping position the organization for continued growth and success.
With more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience spanning physician management, hospital operations, and strategic growth initiatives, Kushner most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Hunterdon Medical Group, Hunterdon Health in Flemington, NJ. In this role, she led all aspects of the health system’s physician practice operations, ensuring seamless integration and enhanced organizational performance. Her work focused on optimizing operational workflows, improving patient care processes, and advancing financial outcomes.
Prior to her time at Hunterdon Medical Group, Kushner held multiple leadership roles, including President at Conemaugh Physician Group and Chief Operating Officer at Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, PA. During her tenure at Conemaugh, she oversaw a multi-specialty physician group with more than 230 providers across 40 locations and led strategic initiatives related to physician recruitment, compensation restructuring, operational efficiencies, and revenue growth.
Throughout her career, Kushner has built a strong reputation for physician engagement, financial stewardship, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership. Her expertise in physician compensation, revenue cycle management, practice operations, and strategic integration has helped organizations achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, provider satisfaction, and patient care delivery.
A graduate of Saint Francis College, Kushner holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Management, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
