Oswego Health Foundation to Host 11th Annual For Your Health 5K & Wellness Event on August 8, 2026

OSWEGO – The Oswego Health Foundation is excited to announce the 11th Annual For Your Health 5K & Wellness Event, presented by Kinney Drugs Foundation and ProAct, Inc., taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the beautiful Manor at Seneca Hill campus, conveniently located between Oswego and Fulton off Route 481 on Route 45A.

More than just a race, the For Your Health 5K & Wellness Event has become a beloved community tradition that brings together individuals, families, local businesses, and healthcare advocates to celebrate healthy living while supporting critical healthcare services close to home.

Whether you’re an experienced runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend the morning with family and friends, there is something for everyone. The event will feature a Kids’ Fun Run at 9:00 a.m., followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9:30 a.m., along with a vibrant Wellness Fair showcasing community organizations, health resources, interactive exhibits, local vendors, and family-friendly activities. Past events have included face painting, wellness demonstrations, contests, and hands-on activities designed to engage attendees of all ages.

Proceeds from this year’s event will directly benefit Oswego Health’s Care Management Program. The Care Management Program provides free services to both Medicaid and non-Medicaid recipients throughout the community. Care Managers help coordinate medical appointments, connect clients with healthcare providers, and address social factors that can significantly impact health outcomes. Through partnerships with community organizations, the program also helps individuals and families access housing resources, transportation assistance, food support, and other services that promote overall well-being. In 2025 alone, the program supported 375 clients, underscoring its vital role in supporting community health.

“Every registration, sponsorship, and donation helps strengthen a program that supports some of our community’s most vulnerable residents,” said Michele Hourigan, Director of Business and Community Development for Oswego Health. “Our Care Management team works every day to ensure individuals receive the care, resources, and support they need to thrive. By participating in this event, community members are helping make those services possible.”

As a nonprofit healthcare system, Oswego Health relies on community support to continue investing in programs and services that improve the health of local residents. Last year’s event raised more than $33,000, and organizers hope to build on that success as the event enters its 11th year.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Kinney Drugs Foundation and ProAct as presenting sponsors,”Hourigan added. “Their commitment to community health and wellness helps make this event possible and demonstrates the power of partnerships in improving the health of our region.”

Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age division.

Community members, families, corporate teams, and supporters are encouraged to register, participate, or simply come out and enjoy the morning. Whether you run, walk, volunteer, visit the Wellness Fair, or cheer on participants, your presence helps support healthier communities throughout Central New York.
