OSWEGO – Oswego Health Medical Practice is expanding access to specialized foot and ankle care with the addition of podiatry services through the Center for Orthopedic Care. Brandon P. Adrian, DPM, AACFAS, has joined the Center and will begin seeing patients on October 1st for a broad range of foot and ankle conditions, from common orthopedic concerns to complex wounds and limb-salvage needs.
The addition of podiatry reflects Oswego Health Medical Practice’s ongoing investment in the services and expertise the community needs. As a multi-specialty medical group affiliated with Oswego Hospital, Oswego Health Medical Practice brings together more than 100 physicians, advanced practice providers and caregivers across a growing range of specialties, including primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, pulmonology and more. The practice is focused on expanding access to high-quality care while creating greater opportunities for patients to receive specialized services through the local health system.

Dr. Adrian is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon specializing in reconstructive surgery, limb salvage and complex wound care. He completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle training at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, a Mount Sinai-affiliated program, where he served as chief resident during his PGY-2 and PGY-3 years. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Stony Brook University.
Prior to joining Oswego Health Medical Practice, Dr. Adrian provided podiatric care in hospital and outpatient settings, including complex foot and ankle surgery, limb-salvage procedures, infection management and wound care. His clinical expertise includes reconstructive foot and ankle surgery,
minimally invasive surgical techniques, tendon repair, sports medicine, fracture care, diabetic foot management, deformity management and both surgical and nonsurgical wound care.
Through the Center for Orthopedic Care, Dr. Adrian will treat a wide range of conditions, including bunions and bunionettes, hammertoes and other toe deformities, flatfoot deformities, Achilles tendon disorders, tendon injuries and instability, ankle instability, foot and ankle arthritis, sports injuries and fractures. He will also provide care for diabetic foot complications, chronic wounds and infections, lower-extremity conditions, routine and at-risk toenail care, and lower-extremity wound care.
His expertise also includes procedures and treatment focused on limb salvage and amputation prevention, an important component of care for patients with complex diabetic foot conditions, infections and wounds.
The addition of podiatry further expands the capabilities of the Center for Orthopedic Care, giving patients access to specialized foot and ankle care within a broader orthopedic program. Care can range from evaluation and conservative treatment to advanced surgical intervention, wound management and complex limb-salvage procedures.
