Palermo Man Killed In MVA

PALERMO – At about 3:01 p.m. today (Aug. 24), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office and the Palermo Fire Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of State Route 3 and State Route 264 in the town of Palermo.

The driver of the 2007 Toyota pickup truck was identified as Floyd D. Kelly of Fulton.

He was attempting to turn north onto Route 3 at the above mentioned intersection when he struck a 2001 Honda motorcycle operated by Richard E. Reed of Red Schoolhouse Road, town of Palermo.

Reed was pronounced dead at the scene and Floyd reported minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing pending traffic tickets.
