Buddy & Porky’s Pet Health: Resolutions

Dear Readers,

It’s that time of year again for making resolutions, so here are ours and some suggestions for yours.

Porky

More snacks, lots of them.
No exercise whatsoever, unless you count chasing stupid little toy mice in weird fluorescent colors.
I plan to get someone to buy me lots of stupid little toy mice in weird fluorescent colors
More naps, lots of them.
I plan to finally catch that little bug thing that flits around on the computer screen.
Greater public recognition of my new slogan, “Cats-Man’s best friend!” (Where have I heard that before?)
Oh, and world peace.

Buddy

Snacks, lots of them.
Walks everywhere, every day, every time I even think about it, with my best friend.
Frisbees flying gleefully through the air
I plan to get someone to buy me lots of new Frisbees.
I plan to finally get Porky to treat me with the respect I deserve.
All naps on the couch, and not on that hard dog bed.
Oh, and world peace.

And our suggestions for you, dear readers . . .

Adopt a new pet. Already have a pet? Remember, they’re like dog biscuits, or cat treats, or chips—you can’t have just one.

And you can find your next new pet at our “Ring in the New Year with a New Pet Adoption Day,” on Saturday, January 16th from 11 to 2 at the Tractor Supply Company, State Route104 East, Oswego. See our pets online at www.oswegohumane.org.

The Oswego County Humane Society provides spay/neuter services and referrals, rescue, fostering and adoption of animals in urgent need, adoption assistance, and humane education.
