Cheesecake: Pet of the Week

OSWEGO – Cheesecake is a lovely young lady with impossibly fluffy paws and an even fluffier heart. She adores cuddles and belly rubs, loves to play with all her toys, and enjoys curling up for naps in her favorite cat tunnel.

Cheesecake is deeply attached to people. She’s the kind of cat who will peacefully nap beside you while you work, gaze into your eyes as you drift off to sleep, or purr softly in the morning to wake you up. She needs a human who will accept her love and return it–with extra wet food and toys, of course!

Cheesecake can be a shy girl at first and needs a little time to acclimate to a new home. With gentle guidance, she quickly learns what’s allowed and what’s not. She’s also a very tidy cat, always trying to keep her space neat. She gets along wonderfully with other cats but has not met any canine friends. As always, we recommend an isolated room to start and slow introductions in a new home.

Cheesecake has advanced dental disease and is missing many teeth. Even in her young age, this may be due to poor nutrition when she was a kitten or the cause could be genetic. She still eats well (and messy) out of a shallow dish and she may need more dental care in the future. She is in good health otherwise.

Cheesecake is about 3 years old, spayed and vaccinated. She has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. The adoption fee is $45.
