Mimsy: Pet of the Week

OSWEGO – Mimsy had a very rough start to life. She was underweight, infested with fleas and covered with itchy scabs. You’d never know that only a month ago, Mimsy was a stranger to us, terrified of everything and not knowing who to trust. Now, she is the Mimsy she was always meant to be! She is an absolute doll and we are so in love with her. She’s eating well and her scabby skin is healing. This girl is living her life and we adore it!

Mimsy is a sweetheart and a winner, and such a love. She is quite the character too; she’s a night owl and gets her zoomies in about 2-4am. Mimsy plays well with other kitties and doesn’t mind a dog that doesn’t mind her. She is finally ready to have a permanent home with a family full of patience and kindness. We always recommend an isolated room to start and slow introductions in a new home.

Mimsy is about 7 months old and vaccinated. She will be spayed before adoption. She is indoor only and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. The adoption fee is $125.

Don’t miss out on our upcoming event, Home for the Holidays, this Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10am to 4pm at the Oswego Elks Lodge located at 132 West 5th Street, Oswego, New York. Check out local crafters and vendors who are ready to help you with your shopping ahead of Thanksgiving and there of course will be adorable adoptable animals to meet! If you’re feeling lucky, you can grab raffle tickets too and win something for yourself. There will be photos with Santa (pets and costumes are welcome) and so much more!

If you are interested in adopting, you can download our Adoption Application at tinyurl.com/oswego-humane-app; OR if you might even consider becoming a temporary foster caregiver, we would be excited (and pay all the bills!). You can email your completed application and any questions to [email protected]!
