Petal: Pet of the Week

OSWEGO – Petal loves with her whole heart.

This affectionate young kitten is the kind of cat who wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. If you’re sitting down, she’d like to join you. If you’re standing up, she’d like to know where you’re going. And if you’re available for cuddles, she’d like to begin immediately.

Petal is very much a lap cat. She craves attention, reassurance, and companionship, and she isn’t shy about asking for it. Once she settles onto your lap, she’s happiest when receiving pets and soaking up every bit of affection you’re willing to give.

Petal also has a surprisingly intense side. When it’s time to play, she transforms into a tiny predator with laser focus. Wand toys are her specialty, and once she catches one, she hangs on with astonishing determination. Letting go is simply not part of her strategy. She also loves trying to recruit other cats into play sessions, although her enthusiasm isn’t always appreciated by older, less energetic feline roommates.

Like any growing kitten, Petal is still learning household manners. She’s curious, mischievous, and occasionally convinced that people make excellent climbing structures. Fortunately, she balances her antics with an abundance of affection and charm.

Petal does well with children, is okay with dogs and other cats, and would especially enjoy a home with another playful feline companion. Petal is 5 months old, vaccinated and spayed. She is indoor only and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. The adoption fee is $125. If you’re looking for a kitten who will love you loudly, enthusiastically, and without reservation, Petal is ready to bloom in her forever home.
