OSWEGO – We’re quite certain Samantha must’ve been a baker in a previous life: she looks like a loaf of bread, she feels doughy around her middle and she makes biscuits non-stop.
Samantha is motivated by love above all else! She adores all human affection, and she is easy to butter up with a few belly rubs or head scritches. She plays too! This girlie loves toys and likes to roll around with anything you have laying around.
Samantha lives amicably with other cats and has no issues with children. She has never lived with a canine, but probably wouldn’t mind a dog that didn’t mind her.
Samantha is obese due to a sedentary lifestyle in her previous home. She does have trouble moving around due to severe degenerative joint disease in her hips, but she is not in pain. As a senior, extra care is taken to make sure she has easy access to her litterbox, food and water dishes at all times.
Encouraging mild activity and gradually reducing her food intake is recommended to help relieve some stress on her joints from all the excess weight she carries.
Samantha is 12 years old, spayed and vaccinated. The adoption fee is waived due to her age and health concerns.
If you are interested in adopting, you can download our Adoption Application at tinyurl.com/oswego-humane-app; OR if you might even consider becoming a temporary foster caregiver, we would be excited (and pay all the bills!). You can email your completed application and any questions to [email protected]!
