OSWEGO – Squirrel and Acorn, a pair of six-month-old sibling kittens, are the Oswego County Humane Society’s Pets of the Week, according to an October 20 release.

The society describes the inseparable siblings as playful, curious and social. They spend hours playing together but are equally devoted to their human companions, staying nearby while people work at a computer, do household chores or prepare dinner. They also greet their people at the door.

Acorn is a speedy adventurer who enjoys running, climbing and exploring. He is also a gentle snuggler who appreciates affection after a busy day. Sometimes his curiosity leads him into a spot where he thinks he is stuck, and he calls for his humans to help.

Squirrel is the pair’s clever problem-solver. The society says she can work her way out of tiny spaces on her own. Fuzzy balls are among her favorite toys, and she is a vocal playmate who chats while enjoying them.

Together, the kittens offer each other a built-in playmate and their people two affectionate companions. They are happiest close to the action and are looking for a home.

Those interested in adopting can download the society’s adoption application and email the completed form or questions to [email protected].

The society also welcomes people interested in becoming temporary foster caregivers and says it pays the bills associated with fostering. For more information, call 315-207-1070 or email [email protected].
