OSWEGO – We hear that Stewie the cutie is “just the best dog,” and we think it’s true! He is an apricot-colored Miniature Poodle and about 9 years old. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He has very lovely leash manners. He can be left at home by himself and doesn’t make any trouble; he’ll honestly spend the whole time sleeping.
Stewie loves car rides and going out to meet new people. He doesn’t have any worries about strangers; he’s friendly to every person he meets. He enjoys spending time with people of all ages, including small children and the elderly. Stewie thinks cats are fantastic. He is very quiet and calm; his favorite activity is snuggling up close with a kind person and a soft blanket.
His previous owner didn’t look after him well enough and he was very badly matted when he came into our care. He’s been groomed a few times and, since he is a Mini Poodle, he will need to be regularly groomed throughout his life.
The only thing not so great about Stewie is his vision. He has chronic dry eyes that requires multiple eye medications several times a day. Besides some “old man bumps,” he is otherwise healthy.
Stewie is up-to-date with vaccinations and has tested negative for tick-borne diseases. He will be neutered soon. His adoption fee is waived due to his age and medical concerns.
