Sweet Pea: Pet of the Week

OSWEGO – Sweet Pea is a 5-year-old silver tabby with the heart of a sweetheart and the standards of an empress.

She absolutely adores people. She loves lap time, head pats, head boops, cuddles, conversations, and being involved in whatever you’re doing. If you’re looking for a cat who will happily seek out affection and reward you with purrs, Sweet Pea is ready to fill that role. She also has a few non-negotiable terms. First, no belly rubs. Those are forbidden by royal decree.

Second, Sweet Pea must be the only pet in the kingdom. Other cats? Absolutely not. Dogs? Also no. She finds other animals deeply offensive and would much rather have her humans all to herself.

Sweet Pea is a chatty lady who enjoys sharing her thoughts throughout the day. She loves squeezy treats, Temptations, and receiving the proper amount of admiration from her subjects. She enjoys toys, climbs cat trees with enthusiasm, and can often be found perched high above the room in a supervisory capacity.

Loud noises and strange sounds are not her favorite things, and she’d prefer a home that is relatively calm and predictable. In return, she’ll provide companionship, affection, and plenty of opinions. She has been caught climbing onto counters from time to time. While she won’t steal your dinner, she has been known to express a particular interest in butter. Consider this fair warning.

Sweet Pea is well cared for, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a home where she can reign as the one and only queen she was always meant to be. She is spayed and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. The adoption fee is $80. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a big personality and an even bigger appreciation for human affection, Sweet Pea is ready to claim her throne in your home.

You can download our Adoption Application at bit.ly/4vrrWiq; OR if you might even consider becoming a temporary foster caregiver, we would be excited (and pay all the bills!). You can email your completed application and any questions to [email protected]!
